Happy Summer! We are so lucky to live and work here and wanted to kick off our favorite season with a new series – It’s a South Bay Summer!. In our humble opinion, there is no better place to enjoy all that Southern California has to offer than the beach towns of the South Bay, and after the past two years we are especially ready to get out and have a great time! Each month we’ll post some fun ways to enjoy the season right here in our own backyard – one of the most beautiful places on the planet. Here are some of our suggestions for summer fun in the month of June:
The 34th Annual Palos Verdes Street Fair and Music Festival – June 10-12
It’s back! The popular PV Street Fair is finally back in action, with local vendors, entertainment, rides, and food on offer – a little something for everyone. 501 Deep Valley Drive, Palos Verdes. For more information: www.palosverdeschamber.com
Kids’ Club at the Point – June 16

Seal Day at the Marine Mammal Care Center – June 18
Bring your family or meet your friends for Seal Day and the 30th Anniversary Celebration of the Marine Mammal Care Center, a South Bay institution providing care and education about our local sea life residents. From 10am until 4pm, this fundraiser includes live music, food trucks, animal viewings and an auction. Show your support for this wonderful organization! 3601 South Gaffey Street, San Pedro. Summer Concerts in the Plaza – June 23
Beginning June 23, Summer Concerts in the Plaza are back at Manhattan Village, every Thursday from 6pm-8pm. Bring your blankets and beach chairs, order take-out from one of the many restaurants nearby, and enjoy live music under the stars! 3200 North Sepulveda Blvd, Manhattan Beach.
