Welcome back! Our new series, A Guide to South Bay Schools, is here to help you navigate the many wonderful schools here in our South Bay communities. This week we’ll introduce you to schools in Hermosa Beach, which has a superior public school system boasting a small-town atmosphere that’s tough to beat. Recent renovations to three local schools have resulted in facilities that are top-notch and modernized for a promising future.

PUBLIC SCHOOLS

Hermosa View Elementary School – Serving children in Transitional Kindergarten through 2nd grade, Hermosa View was designated a Gold Ribbon School and is known as “The Best Little Beach School”. Hermosa Vista Elementary – Offering kids in 3rd and 4th grades an integral educational program, Hermosa Vista was recently updated and is now a zero-net energy school with a sleek new design. A tradition of academic excellence, teacher dedication and parent involvement make Hermosa Vista a modern public school with a private school mentality. 417 25th Street, Hermosa Beach – 310.937-5877

Hermosa Valley School – A California Distinguished School, Hermosa Valley provides education for kids from 5th through 8th grades that is “focused on both a personalized and blended learning experience for children”.
